Geopolitics. World-Systems. South Global.

I am a professor and researcher in Geopolitics and International Relations, focusing on the crisis of U.S. hegemony, the rise of the Global South, and the place of Brazil and Latin America in the international order.

I hold a PhD in International Relations from the National University of La Plata and a postdoctoral degree in Latin American Integration from the University of São Paulo, and I coordinate LabGRIMA at the Federal University of Pelotas (Brazil) as well as the CNPq research group on Geopolitics and Mercosur, serving also as president of the Brazilian Association of Geopolitics (ASBRAGEO).

I have developed the framework of World‑Systems Geopolitics and Antisystemic State Action, which informs my books, articles, and media interventions on BRICS, the war in Ukraine, sanctions, antisystemic movements and the ongoing transformation of the global order.
